Timothy O. Drews

I am currently a fourth year PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I am co-advised by Prof. Richard Alkire and Prof. Richard Braatz.  The overarching goal of my research is to develop multi-scale coupled simulation and experimental methodologies for analyzing complex multiple additive copper electrodeposition systems.  My PhD project includes multi-scale simulations of copper electrodeposition systems, parameter sensitivity and parameter estimation of Monte Carlo simulations with multiple additive mechanism hypotheses, and development of a molecular Monte Carlo model of copper nucleation in the presence of additives.

I graduated in 1999 from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, where I was a double major in Chemical Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy.

My resume is available here.
